How can I pay for Hillside
Fitness services?
We accept cheques, cash, and all major credit cards through
PayPal. A $30 charge will apply for NSF cheques. All boot camps and
personal training sessions must be paid in full before the start date.
BOOT CAMP
What happens once I have registered
for boot camp?
We will provide you with a confirmation email along with a waiver and an
exercise questionnaire. We ask that you have these forms filled out and
brought to camp on the first day.
What do I need to bring to boot camp?
A water bottle is a must to bring. A mat and a set of handweights are
also required (5 - 8 lbs for women 8 - 10 lbs for men).
What should I wear to boot camp?
A good pair of running shoes are essential along with comfortable workout
clothes.
Do I have to be a certain fitness level to attend?
No! Any level of participant can attend; our trainers will show
modifications for every exercise.
Do boot camps run during bad weather?
Our boot camps run rain or shine, but this is Calgary and snow
often happens in the spring! If a boot camp needs to be cancelled due
to extreme weather we will advise you via email 30
minutes before camp. As well, if the temperature drops below –15 C boot
camp will be postponed.
If I miss a
day of boot camp can I make it up?
You can make up missed classes within the current boot camp
session. You cannot “rollover” missed days into the next session.
What if I can't finish boot camp due to a medical issue?
With a doctor’s note, we can credit you the remaining sessions for a future
camp.
Can I join a boot camp that is
already started?
Yes, we will prorate your fee based on your start
date.
Do you
have a refund policy?
Boot camps are non transferable and no refunds will be
given.
PERSONAL TRAINING
How long is each session?
All personal training sessions are one hour in
length.
When is payment due?
All personal training sessions must be paid for in
advance.
Do
I need my own equipment?
No.
Hillside trainers provide all fitness equipment and we will make use of
whatever equipment you have. As
well, if you have an interest in purchasing your own equipment we can offer you
advice on what types of equipment to purchase.
What
kind of programs do you offer?
Our programs are based on your specific needs. Some people are very self motivated and
would like to be set up on a fitness program and work at their own pace. Others really enjoy the motivational aspect
of having their trainer at every workout.
We set up a program based on what fits best into your lifestyle.
Do
you provide guidance on nutrition?
Hillside Fitness personal trainers are also
certified in Nutrition and Wellness and can provide you with general guidance
on nutrition. If you are looking a
detailed nutrition plan we can arrange an appointment with a registered
dietician.
What
is your cancellation and refund policy?
24 hours notice is required to cancel a
session. If notice is not given,
you will be charged for the session.
All unused personal training sessions are non-refundable.
ZUMBA
Do
I need to register for Zumba classes?
No. Currently our Zumba classes are on a
drop in basis. We encourage you to
come about 10 minutes before class starts and get ready for some fun!
Do I need to register for Zumbatomic?
Yes, our Zumbatomic classes for kids have limited space and run based on registration. Visit our Zumbatomic page for more info and to register.
I
am out of shape, can I still do Zumba?
Absolutely! Zumba is for everyone. All levels of fitness can enjoy the
benefits of Zumba simply by going at your own pace. Feel the music and have fun!
What
are the best shoes to wear in a Zumba class?
Zumba Fitness
recommends that you wear "cross training" or "aerobic"
style shoes. They provide the cushion and medial lateral support needed for
side-to-side movements. They also have low traction rubber for easy sliding and
turning.
What
else do I need to bring?
Comfortable workout
clothes and a water bottle are a must!
