Carolyn Joyce
Owner/Personal Trainer

I have worked in the fitness industry for over 20 years. Teaching fitness, whether to 1 or 100 is the most exciting aspect of my job. Personal training, particularly small group training, allows me to do what I love best; getting you pumped about moving your body. The health benefits of fitness are well known, but when you experience first hand the increase in energy, the feeling of strength and power, the decrease in "aches and pains", you want to shout it to the world. Join me as we shout it out together!

Abena Edugyan,
Personal Trainer/Boot Camp Instructor

My name is Abena and I am a certified strength and conditioning specialist and personal trainer.
I help people discover their strength within, both physically and mentally using physical activity. Incorporating the latest professional research and standards in movement, health and wellness, I encourage personal challenge via physical fitness which utimately affect and improves all areas of life.
I completely understand what it's like to push yourself beyond your limits. In 2006, I signed up with Team in Training to complete a fund-raising triathlon. The caveat? I had a deep-seated, 25-year old fear of drowning. In fact, after panicking in the shallow end of the pool, I spent the first swim practice with my mentor, "learning" to feel comfortable on my back while holding onto a kickboard!
With a lot of hard work, and great support, I completed by first triathlon (Rage in the Sage in Nevada) in April 2007. I have since completed seven more triathlons, the most recent one being the 2009 Nautica triathlon in Malibu, California.
I learned not to let fear take over and learned that the only limits come from within. Contact me today and you'll soon learn that YOU ARE YOUR ONLY LIMIT!

Andrea Muir,
Zumba Instructor

When I moved to Canada in December of 2000, one of the first things I did was to become a member at a local club. I love group fitness and I have been doing fitness classes since I was in my teens. I always have had a passion for fitness and it was important to me to find a club that had instructors that would inspire me to continue to stay active and feel special while I built my life in a new country.
Some of the instructors that I have met through the years have created lasting impressions, and that is part of my motivation now to want to pay it forward.
I embarked on a career in the corporate world for 4 years before I had my first child and decided to stay at home to look after my children. They are now 4 and 2 years old and I have decided that it is time to start pursuing my dreams, one of which I strongly believe is to inspire, motiviate and educate people to live active lives.
I want my Zumba class participants to wake up in the morning and be excited about the fact that they get to come to my class that day, that way I feel I am making a difference in their lives.

Kim Winsor,
Personal Trainer/Boot Camp Instructor

Kim's love for people, active living and a desire to harness her positive and high energy lead her to get her Group Fitness Certification in 2009.
Kim has been employed for the last 15 years as a Recreation Therapist, working with people in many different stages of the health spectrum from children with developmental challenges in the school system, adults with spinal cord injuries and older adults in long term care. Keen assessment skills, sensitivity and a desire to see others reach for their potential meant that Kim was very successful in her field.
As with all of us, Kim's time to re-evaluate came...in assessing her very full week of juggling many contracts, Kim came to the realization that she was her happiest when she was sharing her enthusiasm of active living with incredible women!
Because of Kim's professional background, she has an innate ability to recognize a person for who they are as a whole. She is keenly aware that we are so much more than body fat percentages and numbers on a scale. She believes in the idea of taking care of one's health today in order to enjoy it tomorrow. Kim has a solid knowledge base, positive energy, a caring demeanor and the ability to push when you need it!
